Best roofnest tent?

Rooftop tents cost more than onshore tents; that's the trade-off of being able to camp away from the hazards of the forest floor. That said, since the price can be high, it was imperative to make sure that our recommendation for the best roof top tent overall was met across all categories. What the Thule Tepui Kukenam rooftop tent certainly does. If you're willing to spend the extra money, the Falcon 2 is as comfortable as most of the models we've tested, but it has an ultra-thin construction that reduces wind resistance and looks great.

We gave the roof sparrow EYE and the Falcon 2 perfect scores for this metric because they have no coverages to deal with. Also inside is a 2.7-inch foam mattress that Roofnest says will rival the comfort of your bed at home. Roof tents, for example, are known for their comfort, while the budget-oriented Smittybilt Overlander's mattress is thin and stiff. For example, the Roofnest Sparrow is 5 inches narrower than a double mattress, and the iKamper Skycamp 3.0 mattress indicated as suitable for four people is slightly larger than a standard king-size mattress.

Roofnest's Falcon 2 tent is one of the most aerodynamic models available, breaking down into a flat, hard sandwich shape when not in use. Finally, remember that the maximum height only specifies the highest point on hard shells similar to store boxes, such as the Roofnest Sparrow, which has a high peak height everywhere, while others, including clam shells and soft shells, lean down. iKamper was the original innovator of the helmet foldable rigid (see Skycamp 3.0 below), but Roofnest's vision on the concept delivers similar quality at a better price. In the end, families with young children will likely be able to get away with smaller floor plans, but many campers will choose to increase their size or go for the XL versions (an option with Roofnest tents).

Along with Roofnest's pop-up hard case, the Sparrow, and the foldable hard shell, the Condor company, RTT Roofnest also has a third design in its Falcon series. And it's especially important to consider the load limit if you plan to put equipment on top of your store, as you would with Roofnest Sparrow Adventure or iKamper X-Cover 2.0. Newly redesigned, Roofnest's two-person pull-down rigid wedge tent has a higher peak than tents that rise in all four corners. Overall, these tents can be expensive, but they are very well built and competitive with premium offerings from CVT, iKamper and Roofnest.

Both Roofnest models don't require any kind of assembly, just take them out of the box and lift them to your shelf. The James Baroud Evasion is a fold-out hardshell helmet, similar to models such as the Roofnest Sparrow above and Maggiolina AirLand below.
